He showed huge power and scope with style and grace. For Play Stamps his foals very heavy resulting in correct premium and stallion candidate foals with excellent dispositions

For Play jumped with the style of a top hunter with the scope and power of a show jumper and floated with balance, confidence and rhythm of a top dressage horse. For Play had proven himself very young with a win at 1.40 meters as a 5 y/o . His owners wanted to prove his versatility and ability and cross trained him in other disciplines then what his pedigree would show he was bred for. His ability to learn and his ride-ability were proven with his success. He shined as a Dressage competitor with scores in the mid 70's in USDF earning his rider Dacia Peters-Imperato a bronze lifetime achievement award. At the time of his passing For Play was schooling several grand prix movements with mastery of the Piaffe. For Play's style and movement have proven success in the hunter ring as Champion at several "A" rated hunter competitions. Prior to being imported he won his 30 day stallion test in Germany. For Play won by such a margin that he was exempted from the conclusion of the 70 day test so he could stand at the Celle State stud and participate in the jumper breeding program where he has produced several licensed stallion sons.  For Play has had an excellent conception rate! With many premiums, inspection site champions and stallion candidates being recognized in his foals in Europe and the US.  He gives his foals his very typey head, jumping ability and scope as well as his lofty, suspended powerful gait. He stamps his foals so heavily that he almost duplicates himself. He has produced all colors including black out of a bay mare, chestnut, buckskin, and bay. His temperament and his ability to pass it on foals is a very important characteristic that will create top show horses for Professionals and Amateurs to enjoy and win with.

2000-2012 For Play passed away due to complications with a colic surgery brought on by him getting cast and creating a hernia and his intestine slipped through.  He was the best patient and fought so hard to survive but after the 2nd colic surgery slipped away from us.  We are so grateful for the 4 years we shared and for the impact he had on everyone who knew him and especially the way he duplicated himself in his foals.  The legacy he has provided in his progeny is priceless to us.
